Miscellaneous: WHA rights traded by Cincinnati to Houston for WHA rights to Dick Spannbauer in July 1974. ... Scored two goals to help beat St. Louis
(NHL) 5-4 in his first exhibition game playing for Houston (WHA). It was the first time an
NHL team had played a WHA team in an exhibition game. ... Scored goal in first WHA game.
... Played on all-rookie "Kid Line" with Terry Ruskowski
and Rich Preston for Houston in 1974-75. ... Wore No. 27 with Houston in
honor of his idol, Frank Mahovlich. ... Missed parts of
1974-75 season with broken nose and foot injury. ... Remained in Houston and coached
amateur team during summer of 1976. ... Missed most of 1977 WHA playoffs with hepatitis.
